    2009 Shark Kill Tournaments:
    Destin Rodeo - Shark Saturdays -- Destin, FL -- Every Saturday in October -- This seems to be the last one of the season thankfully. Please get involved to put an end to Shark Saturdays. There's no reason Destin can't have the Rodeo without the Shark Saturdays. This event is targeting bull, tigers, makos and hammerheads - all of which are on the IUCN list of Threatened Species. Hammerheads are globally Endangered - Very High Risk of Extinction - and Makos are Vulnerable - High Risk of Extinction. Yet Destin is promoting the killing of these animals every weekend in October - for a $250 prize!!! Please contact us for more details on how to participate.

    2010 Shark Kill Tournaments:
    Recruiting local volunteers for 2010 tournaments in the following areas. Let's get an early start for 2010 and make Shark Kill Tournaments a thing of the past.     Shark Savers Petition: Remove shark nets in South Africa: Shark nets are gill nets installed in tiered patterns by KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board (KZNSB). The purpose is to reduce the shark populations and keep them away from people swimming at the beaches. However, there are better ways to protect swimmers that don't indiscriminately kill sharks and other marine life.
